Graffitti is lacking GREATLY in the Stony Brook/ Setauket areas… If any artists are on the area, don’t be afraid to throw something up! The police around here aren’t focused on graffiti AT ALL, and tags, throw ups, even big projects are all crazy easy to do. The only thing is some kids go out and tag on like nice bridges and actually historic buildings…Tagging a 7-11 is acceptable, doing a throw up on a historically important building is just gay, and really toy-ish

Everyone has a different opinion as to what art really is.
Some see a beautiful building and see it.. others enjoy looking at fine art such as picasso or monet in stuffy galleries. Myself, i enjoy writing on a wall, going against the grain. Most naysayers never had the stones to go out and express themselves in an artistic way. They choose to follow the heard like lemmings until one day they’re rocking back ‘n forth in an old age home wishing they would’ve done something different.

you people complaining make no sense at all “its an eyesore” what? the thousands of coke adds, Victoria secret, dove, strip club billboards. none of that is?find out who the real pollutant of the world is . its big business companies littering your minds with worthless crap. not people who work years on a hand-style and a name that means something unlike Twinkies. graffiti lets people know we still have some kind of hand on authority. and before you go calling us all dirt bags and juvenile delinquents, find out the real meaning of graffiti before you go blabbering on about something you don’t know. and one more thing. I’ve payed just enough taxes over my life to get rid of the graffiti i do because this lie that the media tells you that it takes a thousand dollars to clean paint of a wall is a lie, they sand blast it off in twenty minutes with a fifteen year old piece of machinery that the town bought in bulk. I am a hard working full time college student with a high school diploma working on being either a journalist or a graphic designer, not a menace to society. Get your stuff right, and by the way, you don’t want to see my graffiti? i don’t want to see your yard sale posters or anything.. that’s graffiti to. Hippocrates
