Truck Crash On Donner’s Pass

In today’s thread they discuss this fatal accident on Donner’s Pass that was caught on video by a Wal-Mart driver’s dash cam.

Kudos to the Wal-Mart driver. He seems experienced and totally under control in this scary situation. It’s a shame the newly licensed driver of the other rig won’t get a chance to gain the same experience.

THE DRIVER TRAINER SHOULD OF NEVER LET THE STUDENT DRIVER ATTEMPT THIS DOWNGRADE. THE HWY IS WELL POSTED IF THE DRIVER WOULD HAVE JUST FOLLOW THE POSTED INSTRUCTIONS HE WOULD OF SAFELY MADE IT DOWN THE HILL.I RUN CA. EVERY WEEK AND I SEE SOME DRIVERS THAT REALLY TAKE CHANCES WHEN IT COMES TRAVELLING DOWN DONNERS PASS LIKE TAILGATING AND JUST FOLLOW THE POSTED SPEED AND INSTRUCTIONS SAVE YOUR LIFE AND SOMEONE ELSES MAYBE SOME OTHER DRIVERS VIEWING THIS VIDEO MIGHT THINK TWICE. ITS ASHAME FOR BOTH DRIVERS FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. DRIVE SAFE.EVERYONE
