Bikers Boycott Myrtle Beach
The Myrtle Beach Bike week is a huge event for Harley Davidson owners. 300,000 bikers show up for this annual ten day event.
However, Myrtle Beach has recently passed ordinances that limit the freedom of bikers. For some odd reason, many residents don’t like the extra hundred thousand motorcycles loudly cruising through their neighborhoods at all hours of the day and night. They also don’t care for the constant party atmosphere.
I don’t blame the residents of Myrtle Beach. I like to have a good time as much as the next guy, and I respect bikers, but I wouldn’t want that many people partying in my town. I don’t care how they get there; bikers, unicycle riders, magic flying carpet drivers, Segway riders, train hoppers, whatever. That’s just too many people disrupting my home. (Well, maybe thousands of flying carpets would be kind of cool.)
Today’s Thread of the Day is at v-twinforum.com where the members are upset over these new ordinances. They feel it is unfair and they will never spend another dime in Myrtle Beach again. Hopefully this boycott will hurt the town financially and show local officials what a mistake they have made.
Many claim it is the fault of the black bikers. Yeah, that must be it. White bikers don’t make noise, clog streets, and get drunk.
Don’t take this the wrong way my biker readers. I have nothing against you individually. But, I can understand people not wanting such a huge party atmosphere in their town.

I will tell you as many times as I have been to Myrtle Beach for Harley Bike week I have never seen anything like what goes on during Black Bike Week. Myrtle Beach becomes one big party with most women wearing very little clothing. I am talking about huge women with a bikini tops and thongs sitting behind a guy driving a Ninja. Not a pretty site. There is no respect for property or law enforcement. There is drinking everywhere by legal and under age people. It is insane. I have been once to Black Bike week and will never go again. Yes, there is some trouble during Harley Bike week but nothing compare to what I saw at Black Bike week. This is not only my option, but also my observation.

300,000 people for Harley Bike Week is not one big party also? I have seen many pictures. There is no shortage of white women wearing little clothing. I’m also pretty sure white people are drinking, too. Either way, it looks fun, but I wouldn’t want black or white bike week in my neighborhood.
