To Gift a Special Offers Kindle
As Kindle fans know, a “Special Offers” Kindle can be purchased cheaper than one without the ads. That’s great if you are purchasing it for yourself, but what if it’s a gift? Would that be considered cheesy? That’s what the members of KindleBoards.com debate.

I would buy the Special Offers edition along with an Amazon gift card for the difference in price and tell them they can use it to remove the ads or buy new books.
