Legal Advice For Smoker

Written by ThreadOfTheDay.com on November 6, 2008 in: advice | Tags: , , , , ,

In today’s thread, a smoker at SmokingLobby.com is upset that his company is raising the rates for smokers on their health insurance plan.

http://www.smokinglobby.com/forum/about3141.html

Even though it cost insurance companies more to cover smokers, he claims it is discrimination. That would be like a driver with four D.U.I.s and six accidents crying discrimination because his auto insurance is more than somebody with a perfect driving record. Or a homeowner who lives on the banks of the Mississippi River upset that their flood insurance cost more than somebody who lives on higher ground.

It’s all about dollars and sense, not discrimination.

His fellow smokers aren’t very helpful. The best advice they give is to quit. No, not smoking. They say quit the job.

Let Me Surf, Grandma

Written by ThreadOfTheDay.com on May 13, 2008 in: advice | Tags: , , , ,

Today’s Thread Of The Day is in the forums of surfing-waves.com.

A 14 year old boy is angry that his grandma won’t let him surf without grandpa’s supervision. He finds it to be annoying and embarassing and is seeking advise to gain independence. The other forum members don’t show him any pitty.

Poor kid. Maybe he will run across this thread 20 years from now and be able to laugh at it.

Intoxicating Kiss

Written by ThreadOfTheDay.com on April 11, 2008 in: advice | Tags:

In this free legal advice forum, a minor got busted for public intoxication. He was obviously drunk but argues there is no legal proof and actually suggests that maybe the smell of alchohol on his breath could have came from kissing a drunk girl.

Let’s hope he comes to his senses and takes the advice he gets in this forum at FreeAdvice.com.

Husband Gets Lap Dance

Written by ThreadOfTheDay.com on April 4, 2008 in: advice | Tags: , ,

If a married man pays for a lap dance at a bachelor party, is it just harmless fun or is it disrespectful to the wife? The members of TalkAboutMarriage.com try to ease the mind of of a woman hurt by this.

The husband should have taken a queu from a Seinfeld episode and said “So honey, we had the bachelor party at the strip club, and yada yada now I’m home.” Might have been much easier for both of them.
