Thank you to the members of NetCookingTalk.com for nominating your tasty forum threads.

Warning: Do not read today’s Thread of the Day on an empty stomach.

They are discussing slathering ribs with mustard,  worchestshire sauce, etc. before applying a rub.

Writing this post is making my stomach growl. I think the forum should hold a rib cook-off and let ThreadOfTheDay.com be one of the judges.

Here is a forum thread that has been active for over three and a half years. Ten posts per page and 178 pages long and growing. I wonder what the record is for longest forum thread?

Pretty cool. I’ll have to learn how to do this and practice with the new espresso machine I got from woot.com.

Go Cards

A restaurant in Louisville,  Devino‘s Deli, is showing off their support for the St. Louis Cardinals by proudly displaying a big message in the window that proclaims “GO CARDS”.

Everybody respects a business that supports the local team, but look closer.

The restaurant has disguised their recent, less than perfect rating from the Louisville Department of Health.

Today’s Thread of The Day is at a Louisville restaurant forum where they discuss this clever/sneaky sign.

Mc-Supermarkets

Written by ThreadOfTheDay.com on October 18, 2008 in: Food & Beverage | Tags: , , , , , , ,

“Are supermarkets becoming places for people who don’t cook?”

http://chocolateandzucchini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2864

That is the question asked by a member of the ChocolateAndZucchini.com forum. She is fed up with the difficulty of finding fresh, raw ingredients at the grocery store. Everything is processed and ready to eat. Just heat and serve.

The other members of the forum have noticed this trend and are not happy with it either. They want to make their own meals from scratch. Unfortunately, today’s society is faster paced and people think they don’t have time to cook.

Cereal Box Collection

Written by ThreadOfTheDay.com on September 18, 2008 in: Food & Beverage,Uncategorized | Tags: , , , ,

Many people have a hobby of collecting things. Some collect stamps, others prefer Beanie Babies, or Matchbox cars, model trains, baseball cards, or even lunch boxes.

Today, I found CerealBits.com and discovered there is a community of cereal box collectors. In this thread in their forum, a member is advertising his extensive collection is for sale. He wants to get rid of them so he has room to start a new collection.

This photo is not the whole collection. Click the link to the forum to see more.

Although the thread doesn’t mention any prices, apparently this is quite a valuable collection. One member mentioned it could be in a museum, and others are envious and wish they had the money to afford it.

I just have one question for whoever ends up buying it.

Hot Dog Grilling Experiment

Written by ThreadOfTheDay.com on May 23, 2008 in: Food & Beverage | Tags: , , , , , , , ,

Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start to grilling season.

The members of the forum at TheSmokeRing.com are ready. In this thread a member is bored and experiments with rubs and marinades on hot dogs.

Sounds weird, but I bet some of them are actually pretty good. If not, at least he only ruined a hot dog and not a steak.

2,000 Miles To Get Hot Dogs

Written by ThreadOfTheDay.com on May 10, 2008 in: Food & Beverage | Tags: , , , , ,

I like hot dogs just as much as the next person, unless the next person happens to be a member of the RoadFood.com hot dog forum.

In today’s Thread Of The Day, a member decides to hop on his bike in Denver and ride to hot dog Mecca, Chicago, to grab a bite to eat.

What Are You Drinking?

Written by ThreadOfTheDay.com on April 19, 2008 in: Food & Beverage | Tags:

You like beer, but are tired of drinking Budweiser, Miller Lite or the few other brands advertised on tv.  Nothing wrong with those brands, but they get boring after a while. You start thinking that there must be something better out there. But where do you begin?

I would start with this thread at the realbeer.com forum where the beer connoisseurs discuss what they are currently drinking.
