October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The main objective of this program is to promote early detection of breast cancer. Women who catch the cancer in it’s earliest stages will have easier and more successful treatment.

In today’s thread, a concerned women is worried about a lump she has found. Her doctor examined it and found other lumps, too. Now she is scheduled for a mammogram the day before her 32nd birthday.

The other members reassure her that she shouldn’t be scared, 80% of lumps are benign. If it is cancer, it is great that it will be caught early.

15 Minute Crush Rule

Apparently First Aid responders, even trained paramedics, have a rule about victims crushed in or under heavy objects. If they have been trapped for more than 15 minutes, they are to leave them crushed until an ambulance arrives. It doesn’t matter that the victim is in agony and uncrushing them will relieve some of the pain.

Can’t Pee, Blacked Out
