Must Be This Tall To Ride

Wow, DisBoards.com sure is one busy forum. They discuss Walt Disney related vacations and there are over 20 million posts there so far. If you are planning on going to Disney World, Disney Land, taking a Disney cruise, etc., this forum is for you. These members are fanatics, many taking several trips to Disney World every year.

A Disney vacation isn’t exactly my idea vacation. It seems too manufactured and sterile for me. But I can understand it’s appeal to the masses.

Anyways, one mother who was just there a couple months ago is going back again this month. Judging by her signature, it appears this will be her 20th trip. She is concerned because on the last trip, her son was about an inch too short to go on many of the rides. Should she have him wear Heelys shoes to make him taller, or Skechers which have high soles? One member suggests Tom Cruise style elevated insoles.

I hope it works out for her. There is nothing worse for a little kid then preparing to go on a cool ride then having your excitement squashed by the mean ride operator with his ruler.

Whatever it is, Disney will make as many millions as they can while they are busy in their Dr. Frankenstein like laboratory creating their next teen idol.

p.s. No offense to the Jonas Brothers or their fans. From what little I have seen of them, they aren’t too bad compared to popular boy bands of the past.
