Mold & Termites Under Wallpaper
Over at PaintTalk.com, a forum member starts a thread on how a simple job turned not so simple. He just had to take off wallpaper and then paint the walls. Unfortunately, behind the wallpaper was mold and a ten year infestation of termites. He describes the walls as being like Swiss cheese and being able to poke your finger through it. This small job just turned expensive.

What amazes me about this thread is that it turns into a stupid, name calling, flame war. How can a non-controversial subject like house painting turn into this, while yesterday’s Thread Of The Day truly was controversial and yet remained civil?
