ESPN Fixes Games

On ESPN.com there is an entertaining contest called Streak for the Cash. Everyday, ESPN post a few different sports matchups. You have the choice of picking the winner for which ever games you want. If you correctly pick 27 times in a row, you win a million dollars.

Of course the games they let you choose from are not usually easy picks, so it’s difficult to put a long streak together. My current winning streak is two. The highest right now is 12.

In today’s Thread of the Day, there is a genius who insists ESPN is fixing the games that are broadcast on their network. This includes tennis, soccer, basketball, football, etc., college and professional. ESPN is doing this to keep players from putting a long streak together. He even has “proof”. The teams that the majority pick are losing too much. He is absolutely convinced and nobody can change his mind.

As one member stated: “this has to be the dumbest thread I’ve seen on this message board in quite some time.”

I couldn’t agree more.
